Labor Day in Galveston

For Labor Day we made a quick trip down to Galveston.

Our first stop was a tour of an oil rig.

We all had fun learning about Tyler's work.

Here is what Tyler looks like a work. Looks like he grew a little hair on his chest.

We found a couple of roughnecks.

It was a perfect day today, next stop... the beach.

The beach was sandy and the water was warm.

We were at lunch after the tour of the oil rig when we realized that we forgot our beach bag at home with our swim suits, towels, and beach toys. We had a good laugh and decided to go anyway.

Colton was in heaven the whole time. He loves the ocean.

He also picked up as many sea shells as he could carry.

Allie on the other hand loves the sand.

She runs as far...

and as fast...

as she can away from the waves.

Texas Living

Even though it was a little rough starting out...

We are loving it here in Texas! Ever time we come into our complex Colton says, "Oh hey home Texas, we missed you!"

We are slowly trying to get Colton to be potty trained. He gets a Twizzler if he goes on the potty. The other day I went to the bathroom and Colton says Yay Mommy, you get a Twizzler!

Tyler's work is going good so far. I always thought that we would see him more when he was done with school, but still not as often as we would like. At least we get him to ourselves Saturday and Sunday!

One thing we love about Texas is how it is going to be warm all year round!

I think that we are still the only people in our apartment complex who hangs out on their patio all the time.

Now that Allie is eating real food, she is scooting all over the house!

She does a nice downward dog, and then falls forward to get around.

These two little monkeys keep me busy.

But we are loving every minute of our time here in Texas!

3 Months and Superman

This little girl is 3 months old now. Time flies when you are chasing kids around.

Allie does this funny thing where she will interlock her fingers and then try to stick all of it into her mouth.

To get smiles like these all you have to do is get her to lock eyes with you. It is my most favorite thing to get this smile.

Colton loves his "Allie Girl" and tries to play with her all the time. Whenever she wakes up  Colton will ask "sleep good Allie girl?"'

Allie likewise can watch Colton play all day long.

We are still working on some of Colton's birthday gifts. One was this superman cape. I love it, but Colton will only wear it with bribery of...

fruit snacks. He will do just about anything for some fruit snacks.

I would say that Colton's superman power is definitely super speed.

Not only does he love to run, but he can get into anything in 2 seconds, just like all 2 year old boys probably all do. I have to tell myself to take a picture instead of cry.

But even superman needs a fruit snack break ever now and again.

Let the terrible 2's begin!

This little boy is finally 2! We have been working on saying "I'm 2," and holding up 2 fingers. Looks like we still have to work on the finger part.

Nana Bleazard was here while we went to look for apartments, so this little boy got spoiled like crazy.

He loves his new monkey pool,

and his new shoes.

Thanks for the ice cream Nana and Bob Atwood!

We were lucky to find some diary free at Walmart, crumbs not included!

Colton loved all his cards.

He read them all day long.

He would open the cards and say "Oh, Happy Birthday Tolton"

We of course can't leave this cute girl out of the blog post.

Colton says thanks for all the cards, calls, and presents!

The newest member of our family

It took me 2 months, but I finally got pictures loaded onto my computer. I think it has to do with the fact that we have a new member of the family who requires a lot of attention.

No not this little one....

This one...

It was so nice to have Grandma's out here. They were a HUGE help!

Cause this little one requires your 100% attention. "Mommy, are you?" is said about 100 times a day if I am not standing right next to him.

That is why we do our photo shoots at night.

This is what happens if we don't.

Time sure does fly by.

These two get along for the most part.

I think that they look so much like each other sometimes.

Especially the faces they make.

Allie has grown so much!

They make look innocent, but I don't know how I survive some days.
