Chicago Temple, Aquarium, and the Zoo

While dad was at the temple we had a photo shoot.

We met some new friends outside the temple that we played with for a while.

Everything was in bloom around the temple, it was so pretty.

Walking to the aquarium we gave Colton a pen. When we got there, we found the cap missing and someone had drawn all over themselves.

There were some huge fishes!

We tried to stand next to them to show how big some of them really were.

Some pictures I made Tyler take cause I could not look at them. Gross.

I was far away from this one too.

These guys were ok though.

Then we walked to the fountain down town.

We got photo bombed at the bean.

We had so much fun talking pictures in the bean.

We heard our local zoo has baby goats. So we decided to go there.

They were so cute. Colton yelled at all of them as his way of talking to them.

Then we also saw the baby Kangaroos as well.

Colton's many faces

Sometimes I wish I knew what Colton was thinking. These are some faces that give me clues to what he is thinking.

Hey what is that?

I really want it now that you have taken it away.

Colton's favorite spot to think.

Mom would give me anything right now cause I am so good lookin'.

I got lots of teeth that still need to come in.

Mom is taking too long to take my pictures.

Thirsty.

Are you going to give me some of your food?

Watch out mom and dad, you are in the SPLASH ZONE!

This water does not taste very good.

GO PURDUE!

PURDUE STINKS! (cause that is what mom always said as a kid)

Love hanging out at the track.

I think he wants me to grab his face.

I love anything that makes mom and dad nervous I will coke on.

The only foods I will eat this week is Chinese noodles and bananas.

SLURP!

10 things we love to do at 10 months!

Colton seems to get more and more fun the older he gets. Here are our top 10 funnest things we did while 10 months old!

1. Easter was this month! I was feeling crazy at Walmart and got 88 cent eggs for Easter. They are so good to eat and fun to carry around the house.

For Easter Sunday we went to my cousin Traci's house. She was so nice and gave Colton some bubbles. Colton did not know what to think about the bubbles, he carefully popped them one by one with his finger.

2. Now that we have 2 teeth we have to brush them every day. Whenever I want to get ready in the bathroom I will sit Colton on the counter and he will sit there and brush his teeth forever.

3. Colton's favorite toy are these orange ear plugs. He will carry them in his hands all around the house. He should hold a world record for how many he can fit into his tiny hands.

His second favorite toy is paper. He will rip a piece of paper till their is nothing left.

4. We also love having BBQ's now that it is getting warmer and warmer outside. Our apartment has a grill and some benches where we can eat at.

5. We love it when we get visitors! Cody, Kylee, and Livy were so nice to come visit us! They kept Colton entertained for hours. He never laughs at us as hard as he does playing with these kids.

6. We love to shop for things that we can buy when we are rich. Here I made Colton try on all the sweet Nike shoes that cost way more than my shoes. But it is still fun to try them on.

7. Colton loves to take out everything in my pants drawer and in our ottoman.

8. I love to go out to eat. Our new favorite place is called the HuHot. It is an all you can eat Mongollian grill. You choose everything you want down to the sauce and they grill it right in front of you.

9. After we get really messy from dinner we take a bath. He learned how to splash the other day so Tyler and I have to be careful to stay out of the splash zone.

10. The last fun thing we love to do is water our small garden. It is my goal to eat one thing out of everything we planted. We planted spinach, lettuce, onions, green peppers, banana peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro from seeds. So i hope at least one out of those seven will work out.

Then when our little monkey goes to bed Tyler and I make yummy treats! We tried Raquel's favorite recipe last night. We did half the dough with Heath chips and the other half chocolate chips. We decided to do the whole bag of chocolate chips for the other half just so we would not waste any chocolate.
