9 Months and Grandma Tammy

A lot has happened this month, but by far the best thing was getting a visit from Grandma Tammy. It is always a party when she comes!

Grandma taught us a lot of new things while she was here. She showed me how to eat without getting messy.

How to play games.

How the wheels on the bus go round and round.

And how to be silly while the parents are napping.

We had big plans and lots of projects, so we went to Hobby Lobby and Goodwill for supplies.

We are forever grateful to Raquel for sending us the recipe for these yummy granola bars. We may have made them 3 times already this week. I love the Heath side and Tyler likes the chocolate chip side.

This was another one of our fun projects. It is still undecided where it is going to go in our house though.

When Grandma comes you can always count on a lot of pictures, which we are so grateful for.

You need three people for measuring Colton's height. One to mark, the other to hold, and the third to take the picture.

We took Grandma to our favorite places to eat in Lafayette. Triple XXX was the first place.

We all got the classic peanut butter burger which was better than it sounds.

The best part is the fun atmosphere. This was right before Colton threw up all over Tyler and me.

But the best place for burgers in our opinion is Culver's for some butter burgers!

This month Tyler turned 27!

So we celebrated a little early and had our big birthday party at the zoo.

Colton's favorite animal was the fish.

Tyler's favorite was the sharks and getting to pet them.

And my favorite was the crazy looking flamingo's.

We saved you all the trouble of going to the zoo because this was about all the animals that were out in the winter. It was still fun to get out in the sun!

Next to the zoo was a butterfly and garden park. We got to hold one of them!

Overall it was a fun birthday party at the zoo.

It took us till one of the last days that Grandma was here to see Tyler's lab that he works at.

 Don't forget your safety goggles!

After that we went for a spin on campus.

And got to see where Tyler goes to class. Thanks for the fun weekend Grandma Tammy!

Happy Valentines Day! (8 Months)

We have had so much snow this winter that every day it snows we look online for houses in Texas.

Colton has never complained though.

We have places to go to entertain ourselves. We love to go to fun antique stores and look at everyone's junk they are selling. It is basically like a garage sale indoors.

Even though Colton has been eating really good, all he wants to eat is bananas and sweet potatoes. He will eat a whole jar of bananas and sweet potatoes!

If is it anything else he will just rub it all over his face. He looks so funny when he gets it in his eyebrows.

This past weekend we went to Chicago for Valentine's Day. To get ready we went to Sam's Club for snacks. We loved getting samples and Colton loved all our utensils.

We had such a fun time in Chicago. While our friends went to the temple we went to Ikea! Colton loved looking at everything in that store.

We had such a fun time at the car show the next day, even though it was packed. Tyler knows all the cool cars we saw so you will have to ask him what this car is. My favorite car was the lime green one.

Colton loved to climb all over the cars. When we put him in this truck everyone would walk by and say "oh he is a Ford man already".

Tyler was trying to talk me into getting this Rapter because he said Colton liked it the best.

I can't believe he is 8 months already!

Colton has been super grumpy lately, and today we found out why. He got his first tooth today!

6 and 7 Months

Colton has been seeming really big to us lately.

Probably because he has been eating cereal....

...drinking from a sippy cup...

...and eating fruits and veggies. We don't really know if he is even swallowing any.

But it sure does make him happy!

It is a good thing that he can't ear real food yet because I am still learning how to cook. This bread was accidentally left in the oven raising while we went and visited Steve and Tiff for four days.

Colton turned 6 months over Christmas break. We got into crazy sleeping habits with the time change.

Now that he is 7 months he is learning how to sleep good again.

We don't really know how with a bum this high in the air though.

We have had a really cold winter. So we have to bundle up even when we take out the trash.

We find fun things to do like going swimming, track practice at Purdue...

...and hanging out with our new sister missionaries.

5 Months

This Halloween Colton went as a football!

The day after Halloween we went to Walmart and got some candy and cloths for 50% off. Colton was good back up when fighting people off for the good candy.

All that candy put hair on his chest...I mean his head.

Fall was only here for a week or two before it got really cold.

So we went on Campus and got some pictures.

He was more interested in eating the leafs.

Our favorite Sister Missionary is leaving this week and we are really sad.

Getting ready for church.

This week Colton has been doing to planks in the morning. It is so funny.

Colton is growing up so fast. He is already 5 Months!

The good thing about getting bigger is he is sleeping really well. He is sleeping almost 12 hours which makes happy parents.

We love our little bear.
